- 8 Medium Whole Ripe Tomatoes The base of the salsa that packs vitamin c, potassium, along with other micronutrients and phytochemicals.
- 3 Medium Poblano Peppers Adding some spice, roasted flavoring, and micronutrients to the salsa.
- 4 Medium Jalapeno Peppers Adding some spice, roasted flavoring, and traces of micronutrients to the salsa.
- 4 Medium Juiced Limes A power house of vitamin C, while also adding a great tang to the salsa.
Seasonings
- 1 Tbsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder/Flakes
- 1 Tbsp Onion Powder/Flakes
- 1 Tbsp Oregano
- 2 tsp Sea Salt
Pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees farenheit
Place all the tomatoes and peppers, with the stems and tops removed, onto a baking/cookie sheet and put then in the oven for ~30 minutes or until the tops of the tomatoes and peppers start to blacken.
Throw in the tomatoes and peppers into a blender, along with all the other ingredients, and blend until everything is broken down and incorporated evenly.
Serve up hot or cool down and store in the fridge for some added, fermentation flavor!
