Equipment

  • Pot
  • Spoon
  • Strainer

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Tapioca Boba Pearls Tapioca formed into small pearls that when boiled, turn into a great addition of texture and fiber to any beverage. Find them at local international/asian markets or order them online.
  • ~6 Cups Water

Instructions

  • Fill up a pot with enough water to cover the boba pearls by about 2 inches (~6 cups)
  • Bring the water to a boil, then add the boba pearls
  • With a spoon, mix around the boba pearls in the water every couple of minutes so that they do not stick to each other or the pot, and cook them until they get super soft, ~20 minutes (you can use a spoon to scoop one out to try once every few minutes)
  • Drain the boba pearls through a strainer (If you intend to add them to a cold drink, rinse them under cold water to help cool them down).
  • The tapioca boba pearls are now complete and can be added to any tea, smoothie, coffee, and/or your most favorite beverage you can think of!
