Tortilla Chips: Refined Oil Free

This is a great recipe for if you are trying to cut back on refined oils for weight loss and other health reasons, trying to find a healthier chip replacement, and/or if you are just trying to look for a nutrient dense snack. Goes great with salsa, dip, and anything else you would use with chips!

Ingredients

  • 1 Food For Life Ezikel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Tortilla These can be cut up into chip shapes or left whole to be broken up after cooking. These tortillas can be found in various grocery stores like Sprouts, Whole foods, Trader Joe's, and etc. in the frozen foods or bread aisle.

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
  • Either cut up the tortilla into desired chip shapes or leave whole, to be broken up after cooking in the oven
  • Place the tortilla directly on the oven rack (not on a cookie sheet/tray), so it will be heated evenly and crisp up.
  • Wait for roughly 8 minutes or until the tortilla turns golden to semi-dark brown in color and crisp to the touch.
  • If left whole, break the tortilla into chip sized pieces with your hands and enjoy with your favorite salsa, dip, etc. .
