Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Frozen Fruit (Berries, Pineapple, etc.) A great addition of healthy carbohydrates, fiber, vitamin C, and powerful antioxidants
  • 1 Whole Medium Banana Great source of potassium, fiber, and will help with the consistency of the smoothie
  • 1 Handful Greens (Kale, Spinach, etc.) A micronutrient dense addition to the smoothie with just enough to not change the sweet flavor of the smoothie
  • 2 Tbsp Flax Seed Meal A essential fatty acid power house, especially high in omega 3 fatty acids. Also, a decent source of protein.
  • 1-3 Tbsp Hemp Seeds An addition of both omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids with a variety of added micronutrients such as iron, manganese, zinc, etc.
  • Water

Instructions

  • First, add the frozen fruit, banana, and greens into the blender
  • Fill up the blender (with already added ingredients) 1/4 of the way with water
  • Blend all ingredients until everything is fully broken down and the mixture is smooth with minimal to no chunks of ingredients left. If you need to add more water in order to get a different desired texture (more liquidity/smooth), please do.
  • Add and mix in the flax seed meal and hemp seeds into the smoothie
  • Enjoy!
