1WholePitted medjool dateA great whole-food sweetening agent along with its fiber content.
1TbspGround cinnamon (Ceylon or Cassia)The addition of a lovely cinnamon flavor.
1TbspFlax seed mealA great source of omega-3 fatty acids and a good texture enhancer for the oats.
Instructions
In a blender, add plant milk, a pitted medjool date, and the flax seed meal, and blend until the ingredients are entirely incorporated.
Then in a bowl, add the dried oats and the mixture from the blender. The oats should be fully covered by the plant milk mixture and if not, then add more plant milk until the oats are barely submerged.
Microwave the submerged oats for 2 minutes.
Mix in the chopped apples and ground cinnamon thoroughly then microwave for another 1½ minutes, or until the oats are fully cooked/soft.
